Class 4, Assignment 2g: OpenSim Annoyances

The above screenshots show where to toggle the "Show Updates to Objects" feature.  Using Kokua viewer one must activate the Advanced menu, then the Developer menu.  Under the Developer menu find "Show Info" then find "Show Updates to Objects."  Or simply use the hotkey combination Ctrl-Alt-Shift+U (highlighted in purple in the top image).  The blue squares depicted in the second image are the update indicators showing the real-time updates being applied to objects in the room.

The above images show how to stop awkward animations that get stuck repeating in a loop.  The top image depicts my avatar stuck in a tip toeing motion.  By clicking the appropriate options indicated by the bottom image you can stop the annoying animation loop.

The image above show the various rendering options that can be accessed via the Advanced Menu.  You can toggle various options on and off, like the UI, footshadows, and dynamic textures.  One might want to turn off certain options to reduce annoying graphic glitches, improve performance, or even mute sounds.
