Above are examples of the traditional RPG elements present in Diablo III. On the left is the inventory management screen where I can transfer items to my companion as well as equip weapons and armor. On the right is is the skill tree. New skills are unlocked as I gain experience in combat and by completing quests. |

In this image I have highlighted the experience bar in the bottom center of the screen. Once that reaches the far right hand side of the bar I will gain another level!

Borderlands 2 (FPS RPG):
The Borderlands franchise is a modern spin on traditional RPGs. The developers fused a First Person Shooter (FPS) interface with the traditional elements of RPG character development and story-line advancement in a futuristic, Sci-fi environment.

Here is an example of User Interface (UI). I am currently receiving information regarding the quest I am on. In the lower left my health and shields are displayed. Experience is in the bottom center and my ammunition and grenades are in the lower right. The top left of the screen has a map highlighting my location and that of my objectives. |
